Starting a recruitment apprenticeship alongside my role at JSD Consulting is an exciting prospect…
Being able to apply what I learn from this apprenticeship day to day will be extremely beneficial and a great way to develop the key skills needed to do my job well, and the qualification will provide me with essential knowledge needed for my current role and my future career. This week I started reading about current affairs and legislation in the world of recruitment, which will form part of my off-job-training. Here are some of the main reasons to consider undertaking an apprenticeship:
- Gain a nationally recognised qualification
Along with comprehensive training, I will gain a work-based qualification with an accredited awarding body. Having CertPRP after my name can only be a good thing!
- Develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours
Learning on the job is important but gaining personal development from an industry-leading apprenticeship body as well as developing my organisation and time management skills will put me in good stead to be as successful as possible!
- Steepen the learning curve
Everyone wants to be successful in their role, and the quicker you reach your full potential the better. I had relatively little business development experience when I started at JSD Consulting, so this apprenticeship should equip me with the tools I need to get off to a great start.
- Become an essential part of the team
Employers benefit greatly from having well-trained apprentices with passion and a strong work ethic. I am hoping this apprenticeship will give me the opportunity to progress down my chosen career path and provide the guidance and training I need to become a skilled and reliable part of the workforce.
- Broaden my skillset
On my apprenticeship I will learn how to build strong, long-lasting relationships, as well as strategies for success. I will also gain technical and specialist recruitment knowledge that I can practically apply in the world of recruitment, having a positive impact on performance and targets. I can’t wait to get started!
